We’ll sample the rich art offerings of London: Royal Opera at Covent Garden, opera at English National Opera, a performance by the London Symphony, Spring Proms at Royal Albert Hall and more. We will also make a delightful trip south to Brighton and attend concerts at the world famous Brighton Festival. And as always, each performance will be preceded by a preview-lecture by yours truly, Carl Grapentine. Please join us.”

Itinerary Details
London - Brighton - Dover - Canterbury
May 09 WED -- Afternoon departure from Chicago O’Hare to London
May 10 THU -- Arrive in London. Private coach to Brighton. Hotel check-in followed by a group Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant
May 11 FRI -- Sight-seeing in and around Brighton during the morning and part of the afternoon. During our stay both the Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe Festival will be taking place. Evening musical performance to be announced
May 12 SAT -- A free day to enjoy the city of Brighton as well as activities of both famous festivals. Evening musical performance TBA.
May 13 SUN -- After breakfast a private motorcoach to Dover to see the famous “White Cliffs”. Then on to Canterbury, visiting the historic Cathedral, and finally ending the day in London. Hotel check-in and Group Dinner.
May 14 MON -- Morning sight-seeing motorcoach tour of London. Afternoon free with an evening performance by the London Symphony Orchestra, Gergiev conducting: Stravinsky, Debussy and Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet.
May 15 TUE -- Half-day sight-seeing tour of London. Afternoon and evening free.
May 16 WED -- Travel to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to attend a matinee performance (TBA). Remainder of day and evening free.
May 17 THU -- Free day. Evening concert at Royal Albert Hall of the Cathcart Spring Proms.
May 18 FRI -- Free day. Evening opera at the English National Opera; Leonard Bernstein’s On the Town.
May 19 SAT -- Free day. Evening opera at Royal Covent Garden; Claude Debussy’s Pelleas et Mellisande.
May 20 SUN -- Free to attend morning services and afternoon Evensong at Westminster Abby, St. Paul’s Cathedral, or other churches where there is always special music. Evening Group Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
May 21 MON -- Return flight home to Chicago

May 21 MON -- Fly to Shannon, Ireland. Motorcoach with guide to hotel in Limerick. Dinner at hotel. Evening free
May 22 TUE -- Full day excursion to Ring of Kerry, Dingle Burren, Muckross House. Dinner & concert at Bunnatty Castle
May 23 WED -- Full day excursion to Galway, Lough, Corrib (including Galway Cathedral). Dinner at hotel
May 24 THU -- Motorcoach to Dublin via Tipperary, Cashel (including rock of Cashel) and Kildare. Dinner at hotel
May 25 FRI -- Half-day tour of Dublin. Afternoon free. Performance at farewell dinner.
May 26 SAT -- Depart Dublin for return flight home to Chicago.
